Nathan Allan is a passionate software developer with over 17 years experience building systems and applications for a variety of domains. He has worked primarily in the Borland and Microsoft technology space. Nate has been seeped in database theory and practice due to his primary role in Alphora’s Dataphor development platform. This experience has given him a deep, first-hand understanding of DBMS implementation. He has developed and/or architected several major applications for industries ranging from financial services, to health care, to multimedia. Nate has experience speaking at development conferences, which experience has included VSLive and PDC.

Kyle Hailey joined Embarcadero with a goal of producing the easiest, most powerful tools for database performance tuning in the industry. Prior to Embarcadero, Kyle worked on a complete redesign of the Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g performance pages. His input shifted the screens away from confusing clutter to simple-yet-powerful graphics based on session load and wait bottlenecks, and this design continues to be the foundation of OEM 11g. Kyle has a long and distinguished career in the database world, having also worked for Oracle, Quest and other organizations on database performance tuning and optimization. He has designed tools to improve high-end performance monitoring, such as direct memory attach to bypass SQL and interactive graphic displays of performance data. Kyle presents regularly at industry conferences and teaches database performance tuning classes around the world.

Prior to joining Embarcadero Technologies, Brent was an Architecture Specialist with Unisys Corporation holding MCSE + Internet and holds Citrix Certified Administrator certifications. He earned a dual degree from Kansas State University in Accounting and Management Information Systems.

He shares his visions as an active member of the industry speaking circuit and is tapped as an expert source by the media. He is a long-standing champion of architects, developers and database professionals and works to ensure that their needs are folded into Embarcadero's strategic product plans. Before Embarcadero, David spent more than 20 years with Borland in various evangelism, engineering, and development capacities, including creating the company's developer relations program. He previously served as Director of Product Services for Softsel Computer Products Inc. (now Merisel). David holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, California.

An industry authority, Ron has authored numerous articles and spoken on hardening applications and the hacker mindset. Before joining Embarcadero, his last three years was spent at CodeGear from Borland and the prior five years was spent as a Lead Systems Engineer with Borland helping to sell ALM/SDO/Developer Tools solutions. Al has over 25 years of Software Development experience including OOAD and the responsibility for developing and deploying production applications. Prior to Borland, Al was an SE for Objectivity, Versant, Red Brick Systems, Information Builders, and an Electrical Engineer with Grumman Aerospace where he performed real application implementations on complex electrical-mechanical systems. Al has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College.

Christine Normile has more than 20 years of IT experience in engineering, database consulting and marketing in top-tier companies. An accomplished product strategist and marketer, her vision and expertise in relational database management systems have driven notable revenue growth and cost savings for a number of products and companies. Christine is currently Senior Product Manager for Embarcadero Technologies. She is responsible for driving the future direction of InterBase, a leading embedded and workgroup RDBMS. Christine began her career as an operating system engineer in Sunnyvale, CA focused on performance management and spent many years consulting with clients worldwide helping them improve data server performance and implement solid IT architectures. Prior to joining Embarcadero, she held product management positions at IBM and Ingres.

Dave Orlandi brings 10 years of experience in software consulting to his position as Principal Software Consultant at Embarcadero. Dave is responsible for supporting the sales division by communicating and demonstrating the value of the Embarcadero tools suite with particular focus on design and management solutions. Prior to Embarcadero, Dave held positions at Toshiba and Thomson as Technical Specialist. Dave graduated from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing.

Rosie Pongracz has more than 20 years experience in bringing technology products to market. She has lead product marketing, product management, and marketing across all aspects of the product lifecycle with a variety of technologies including application virtualization, application development tools, mobile applications, telecommunications, and medical instrumentation. One of her products won the prestigious Google Android Challenge. Currently, she is Senior Director of Product Marketing at Embarcadero and has previously worked in marketing leadership roles in companies now part of VMware, AOL, and Intel as well as for DuPont and Carl Zeiss. Rosie has spoken at numerous entrepreneurial, women in leadership, and technology events. She has a BSEE in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Philip Rathle brings more than fourteen years of software and information technology experience to his role as director of product management at Embarcadero. In this position, he guides the growth and development of Embarcadero All-Access, a new approach to software development and database tooling. Philip has worked extensively building IT solutions for Global 1000 organizations, Big 5 consulting firms, and startups—both in the private and public sectors. Previously, Philip co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer of Customer Evolutions, where he conceived and evolved a customer data integration software and services offering, helping global travel & transportation companies effectively manage their customer information. He began his career at Accenture, and spent many years at Tanning Technology Corporation directing projects in technology strategy and business intelligence. Philip holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University.

Michael Rozlog is the senior director of products for Embarcadero. In this role, he is focused on ensuring the developer focused products being created by Embarcadero meet the expectations of developers around the world. Much of his time is dedicated to discussing and explaining the technical and business aspects of Embarcadero’s products and services to analysts and other audiences worldwide. Mike was formerly with CodeGear, a developer tools group that was acquired by Embarcadero in 2008. Previously, he spent more than eight years working for Borland in a number of positions, including a primary role as Chief Technical Architect. A reputed author, Mike has been published numerous times. His latest collaboration is Mastering JBuilder from John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Jason Tiret is the director of modeling and design solutions for Embarcadero. In this role, he oversees Embarcadero's award-winning data modeling and design products. Jason counts more than a decade of experience in data modeling, metadata and database management. He has consulted with many Fortune 500 companies and has been a frequent speaker on the topics of data architecture, metadata and data governance. Jason received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of California at Davis.

Josh Travers is a Software Consultant and Global Lab Manager at Embarcadero. Josh has been in the IT industry for 10+ years and is an expert in virtualization implementations and database management. He also has a strong background in Citrix and VMWare and is a technical infrastructure guru with a certification in Computer Networks Engineering Technology.

Scott Walz has more than 15 years of experience in the area of database development and currently serves as the senior director of product management for Embarcadero Technologies. In this position, Scott oversees the direction of the company's DatabaseGear product family, while focusing on database development and administration products. Prior to joining Embarcadero four years ago, Scott served as a development lead for Louisville Gas & Electric. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Western Kentucky University.

In this position he leads the effort to ensure that Embarcadero’s customers are extracting maximum value from their investments. For the past seven years he has been engaged in educating the Embarcadero community on the benefits of Embarcadero’s tooling.

Brad Wulf brings over 9 years of experience in the Software and Database Development industry to Embarcadero. He is currently a Software Consultant where he is responsible for assisting Sales Representatives in communicating the value of Embarcadero and its growing product family to current and prospective customers. His career began at Advanced Software Technologies working with a UML modeling solution which was eventually acquired by Embarcadero Technologies in 2002. After stints in Technical Support, Development and Build Management at Embarcadero, Brad joined the Software Consulting team in 2006. Brad earned a bachelor's degree in Business Education from Kansas State University and recently completed a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
