Before starting the challenge make sure that you download and install ER/Studio. You need to have your database client installed and configured to connect to your desired data source. The larger the database and more objects you select the more time it could take to reverse engineer and publish.

1. Launch ER/Studio and go to File > Reverse Engineer.
2. Login into the database.
3. Select the object types you would like to reverse engineer (selecting just tables will speed up the operation).
4. After the reverse engineer is complete, Generate an HTML report (Tools > Generate Reports).
5. Walk through the report wizard and select the criteria for the report.
6. Hit Finish (By default your browser will automatically launch).

With that data model you can also generate DDL to create a test schema, make changes and build ALTER SQL, generate XML schemas or use the capacity planning to project growth for the next 6, 9, 12, 18 months down the road.
