David Schwartz obtained a BS in Math/Computer Science in 1979. His first job out of college was working for Intel for 5-1/2 years where he worked mainly on Intel's RMX-series of real-time executives and communications hardware and firmware. He also spent two years doing Software Configuration Management for several projects, and became co-chair of the IEEE/ISO 1042 Standard Guide to Software Configuration Management, as well as the 828 SCM Standard. He worked for 2 years with Motorola's Four-Phase division on their port of Unix System V R3 to the 68020, then became an independent consultant building embedded systems in c/c++ for clients. When Delphi was released in 1995, David began doing Windows programming and has worked with Delphi consistently since then building a wide variety of applications and domains. He has published several papers on the subject of "software processes", and was an invited presenter at the 9th International Conference on Software Engineering on "Software Evolution Management."
