Recognized as one of the most important companies in data for the second consecutive year
SAN FRANCISCO – June 4, 2014 – Embarcadero Technologies, a leading provider of software solutions for application and database development, today announced it has been selected for inclusion in this year's DBTA 100, a list of the most important companies in data today. The DBTA 100 is compiled by Database Trends and Applications (DBTA) magazine.
"Ninety-seven percent of the Fortune 2000 use Embarcadero's tools each day to heterogeneously design, develop, and manage their data," said Michael Swindell, Senior Vice President of Products at Embarcadero Technologies. "On behalf of our customers, team members, and partners, we are proud to be recognized in DBTA's 100 list of most important companies in data for the second year in a row."
In its second year, the DBTA 100 sets out to provide a list of 100 companies that matter in data. The list focuses strictly on companies that provide a product or service related to data management. Some companies on the list provide technologies and services that have been on the market for many years; others are new to market or have game-changing approaches that are not yet widely embraced.
The DBTA 100 was announced this week and is printed as a special section in the June 2014 edition of Database Trends and Applications magazine. It is also published online at: http://embt.co/2014DBTA100.
