It comes in two forms:

• Server editions (Server, Developer, Trial) for centralized data management.
• Embedded editions (InterBase ToGo Pro, ToGo Mobile, ToGo Lite) for stand-alone, deeply embedded databases on all major platforms.

InterBase 15 Server supports silent installation of both server and client drivers — so you can bundle it with your applications seamlessly. For embedded use, InterBase ToGo Pro/Mobile/Lite can be deployed without installation, giving you a true plug-and-play competitive advantage.

Format unique sur disque

InterBase uses a single, unified file format across all supported platforms. This makes it easy to define, build, test, and deploy with one consistent database structure — even when supporting mobile apps directly from your development machine.

Combined with its cross-platform encryption model and updated security in InterBase 15, you get consistent protection without the usual configuration headaches that come with multi-OS deployments.

Chiffrement multiplateforme

InterBase 15 raises the bar with AES-256 encryption enabled by default, protecting your data both in transit and at rest.

Encryption is built into the database as part of InterBase’s single-file cross-platform format, ensuring protection everywhere your data resides throughout the development lifecycle. Outdated algorithms such as DES and older TLS protocols have been retired in favor of modern standards like TLS 1.2+ and OpenSSL 3.5 LTS, giving you future-proof security out of the box.

Data visibility is tightly controlled through a dedicated SYSDSO login with column-level granularity, ensuring even developers cannot access or search sensitive data unless explicitly permitted by your Data Security Officer. This built-in control reduces the risk of breaches and ensures that encryption policies move with your data layer, not your application code.

InterBase 15 also includes role-based user security tied to encryption configurations, plus support for backup-specific encryption keys. These keys allow encrypted backups to be created without exposing sensitive data, making it simple to schedule and automate secure backups in compliance-heavy environments.

And for industries where compliance is non-negotiable, InterBase 15 offers FIPS 140-3 mode, aligning with the latest U.S. government standards for cryptographic modules.
