David Intersimone, Vice President of Developer Relations and Chief Evangelist
David Intersimone (known to many as David I.) is a passionate and innovative software industry veteran-often referred to as a developer icon-who extols and educates the world on Embarcadero developer and database tools and runs the company’s rampant online community. He shares his visions as an active member of the industry speaking circuit and is tapped as an expert source by the media. He is a long-standing champion of architects, developers and database professionals and works to ensure that their needs are folded into Embarcadero's strategic product plans. Before Embarcadero, David spent more than 20 years with Borland in various evangelism, engineering, and development capacities, including creating the company's developer relations program. He previously served as Director of Product Services for Softsel Computer Products Inc. (now Merisel). David holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, California.
Philip Rathle, Director of Product Management
Philip Rathle brings more than fourteen years of software and information technology experience to his role as director of product management at Embarcadero. In this position, he guides the growth and development of Embarcadero All-Access, a new approach to software development and database tooling. Philip has worked extensively building IT solutions for Global 1000 organizations, Big 5 consulting firms, and startups—both in the private and public sectors. Previously, Philip co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer of Customer Evolutions, where he conceived and evolved a customer data integration software and services offering, helping global travel & transportation companies effectively manage their customer information. He began his career at Accenture, and spent many years at Tanning Technology Corporation directing projects in technology strategy and business intelligence. Philip holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University.
Scott Walz, Senior Director, Product Management
Scott Walz has more than 15 years of experience in the area of database development and currently serves as the senior director of product management for Embarcadero Technologies. In this position, Scott oversees the direction of the company's DatabaseGear product family, while focusing on database development and administration products. Prior to joining Embarcadero 8 years ago, Scott served as a development lead for Louisville Gas & Electric. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Western Kentucky University.
Jason Tiret, Director of Modeling and Design Solutions
Jason Tiret is the director of modeling and design solutions for Embarcadero Technologies. In this role, he oversees Embarcadero's award-winning data modeling and design products. Jason counts more than a decade of experience in data modeling, metadata and database management. He has consulted with many Fortune 500 companies and has been a frequent speaker on the topics of data architecture, metadata and data governance. Jason received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of California at Davis.
Andreano Lanusse, Product Line Manager, Lead Evangelist Latin America & Caribbean
Andreano Lanusse is an expert on and an enthusiast of the software development industry. As the lead evangelist for Embarcadero’s Latin America market, he spends a great deal of his time with developers, both onsite and at conferences and user groups, to ensure the company’s tools meet the expectations of customers. Prior to Embarcadero, Andreano worked at Borland for thirteen years in numerous roles including, support coordinator, engineer, product manager, and product line sales. He has also worked as a principal consultant for Borland Consulting Services on the development and management of critical applications. Previously, he served as Chief Architect for USS Soluções Gerenciadas (now USS Tempo). Andreano holds a bachelor degree in business administration marketing from Sumare Institute and an MBA in project management from FGV.
Brent Hansen - Manager, Software Consulting, Education and Partner Services
Brent Hansen is the Manager of Software Consulting, Education, and Partner Services for Embarcadero Technologies. Brent has been in the IT Industry for more than 11 years. He is an architecture expert and focuses on Embarcadero solutions centered on Meta Data Management, Enterprise Architecture, and Application Design. Prior to joining Embarcadero Technologies, Brent was an Architecture Specialist with Unisys Corporation holding MCSE + Internet and holds Citrix Certified Administrator certifications. He earned a dual degree from Kansas State University in Accounting and Management Information Systems.
Al Mannarino – Lead Systems Engineer & Evangelist
Al Mannarino is the Lead Systems Engineer and Evangelist for Embarcadero Technologies, Inc. Before joining Embarcadero, his last three years was spent at CodeGear from Borland and the prior five years was spent as a Lead Systems Engineer with Borland helping to sell ALM/SDO/Developer Tools solutions. Al has over 25 years of Software Development experience including OOAD and the responsibility for developing and deploying production applications. Prior to Borland, Al was an SE for Objectivity, Versant, Red Brick Systems, Information Builders, and an Electrical Engineer with Grumman Aerospace where he performed real application implementations on complex electrical-mechanical systems. Al has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College.
Rosie Pongracz is senior director of product marketing at Embarcadero Technologies. She possesses more than 20 years of technical marketing experience with expertise in a range of technology including enterprise software (development tools, virtualization, SaaS applications, messaging, security), wireless applications, telecommunications, and medical instrumentation. She has previously held leadership roles in marketing, product management, and product marketing for both small startup and large public corporations such as Intel (Dialogic), VMware (Thinstall), AOL (iAmaze), Dupont, Carl Zeiss. Many of her consulting clients have been backed by top tier Silicon Valley venture capital funds. Her mobile multimedia travel guide app was a winner of the first Google Android challenge. Rosie holds a B.S. in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and is frequently a speaker at industry events.
Ron Lewis, Industry Consultant, CDO Technologies
Ron Lewis is a security and compliance consultant to Embarcadero Technologies, contributing on programs and projects that help reach Embarcadero’s government audiences. He is an analyst for CDO Technologies, a systems integrator that delivers technology-based solutions to government agencies and private-sector customers. He has worked in the government and commercial security arena for more than 15 years and is an expert in enterprise and data architecting. An industry authority, Ron has authored numerous articles and spoken on hardening applications and the hacker mindset. He is also actively involved in industry organizations and efforts such as the Oracle Development Tools User Group (ODTUG) and the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP).
Pawel Glowacki – Technical Lead
Paweł Głowacki is Embarcadero Technologies' European Technical Lead for Delphi, RAD Studio and All-Access technologies. Previously, Paweł spent over 7 years working as a senior consultant and trainer for Delphi within Borland Education Services and CodeGear. As well as working with Embarcadero customers across the region, he also represents Embarcadero internationally as a conference and seminar speaker.
