Upgrade Requirements and Return Policy

Customers purchasing an upgrade must have a qualifying older version of a product registered to their user account
Our product licensing mechanism will enforce this policy by verifying registration following purchase and will only activate purchased products for purchases that meet the Qualifying Purchase criteria.
If you don't have a previously registered qualifying product, you will not be able to register and use the upgrade
No returns or refunds will be accepted except where required by law. Customers are expected to review their eligibility before purchase
Academic products do not qualify for upgrade pricing

Requirements Specific to Certain Upgrades:

RAD Studio XE4, Delphi XE4, and C++Builder XE4

Qualifying products for all XE4 Architect and Ultimate upgrades

Any Architect, Ultimate or Enterprise edition of:

Qualifying products for all XE4 Professional and Enterprise upgrades

Qualifying products for specially priced "upgrade from XE3" upgrades

The special $49 and $499 USD (or international equivalent) XE4 "upgrade from XE3" products are available only for upgrades within the same product family and at the same edition level such as "Delphi XE3 Professional to Delphi XE4 Professional" or "RAD Studio XE3 Enterprise to RAD Studio XE4 Enterprise".

Users interested in moving between editions such as from Professional to Enterprise, or between products such as Delphi to RAD Studio, must purchase the regular priced upgrades, not the $49/$499 upgrades.

Qualifying products for "upgrade from Starter" upgrades

The "upgrade from Starter" upgrade prices are available to registered users of any version of Delphi Starter edition or C++Builder Starter Edition. In addition, the RAD Studio "upgrade from Starter" products are also available to registered users of HTML5 Builder.

Users of versions prior to 2010 do not qualify for upgrade pricing and will not be able to activate an XE4 upgrade product.

If you own version 2009 or earlier, purchase an XE4 new user product to move forward to the new version.

Upgrade qualifications may be temporarily changed time to time during promotional offers.

Delphi XE4 Starter and C++Builder XE4 Starter

Delphi XE4 and C++Builder XE4 Starter upgrade/competitive upgrade pricing is available to owners of any other IDE or software development tool including earlier versions of Delphi, C++Builder, Turbo Delphi, Turbo C++, Turbo Pascal or any other paid or free IDE from any other vendor (such as Visual Studio Express Editions, Lazarus, Eclipse, and others).

Qualifying products for all XE3 Architect and Ultimate upgrades
