Embarcadero Unveils RAD Server for C++Builder and Delphi Service Based Application Back-Ends
New solution provides ideal REST/JSON based back-end platform for ISVs and development teams building internal applications
Austin, Texas – May 12, 2016 - Embarcadero Technologies (recently acquired by IDERA), a leading provider of software solutions for application development, today introduced RAD Server, a turnkey solution that provides a robust back-end platform for development and deployment of Delphi® and C++Builder® application services.
“Our preliminary customer responses have been extremely positive, as we build momentum from the successful launch of RAD Studio 10.1 Berlin.”
With the easy to use RAD Server, developers no longer need to build their own back-end servers and services. Simply load Delphi or C++Builder methods into RAD Server and back-end code is available to client type via managed REST/JSON end-points. RAD Server’s built-in application services and integrations provide all the most common back-end functionality and seamless access to key external systems. RAD Server makes it easy to deploy on premises or on cloud hosts such as Amazon and Azure.
“With RAD Server, developers can use Delphi and C++ business logic to deploy back-end solutions using a modern n-tier architecture and powerful pre-built components. This delivers one of the fastest and most cost efficient solutions to develop scalable enterprise and consumer applications in the market,” says Atanas Popov, general manager at Embarcadero Technologies. "Our preliminary customer responses have been extremely positive, as we build momentum from the successful launch of RAD Studio 10.1 Berlin.”
Due to its ease of use, processing power and versatility, RAD Server is the ideal back-end platform for ISVs building packaged re-deployable solutions or for teams developing applications for internal use. RAD Server offers flexible and affordable licensing options to address the specific needs of different developers. They can either purchase the number of end users required for an application, or purchase a single or multi-site license covering unlimited users for an application.
