SAN FRANCISCO – May 13, 2014 – Embarcadero Technologies, a leading provider of software solutions for application and database development, is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 for SQL Server developers and DBAs who want to learn how to make SQL Server queries run faster. In this session, SQL Server expert and evangelist, John Sterrett, and Scott Walz, Director of Embarcadero Software Consultants, will provide T-SQL performance tuning tips and more.

This webinar titled “Make SQL Server Queries Faster” will also help participants:

  • Understand how to find their top offenders for a specific workload
  • Avoid the biggest mistakes made with indexes
  • Identify common SQL Server anti-patterns and replace them with optimizer-friendly code

John Sterrett – An independent consultant who focuses on stabilizing performance, availability and operations for clients who are having SQL Server problems. John has presented at many community events, including PASS Summit, SQLRally, 24 Hours of PASS, SQLSaturdays, PASS Chapters, and Virtual Chapter meetings. John is a PASS Regional Mentor and the Chapter Leader for the Austin SQL Server User Group and the HADR Virtual Chapter. Scott Walz – Has more than 20 years of experience in the area of database development and currently serves as the Director of Software Consultants for Embarcadero Technologies. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Western Kentucky University.
