Caroline Murphy from Kinvey and Sarina DuPont from Embarcadero will provide tips for building connected IoT apps using Appmethod and a backend cloud service

SAN FRANCISCO – October 8, 2014 – Embarcadero Technologies, a leading provider of software solutions for application and database development, is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, October 15th, 2014 that will provide developers with insights on custom app development and building connected apps for the Internet of Things (IoT) using Appmethod and Kinvey's Backend as a Service (BaaS) platform.

Connecting the Internet of Things to Kinvey's BaaS

Mobile is increasingly becoming more essential in the enterprise landscape, and companies are looking for the best technologies available to meet their application development needs for B2E, B2C, and B2B applications. Embarcadero has partnered with Kinvey to deliver a comprehensive app development solution for the enterprise that makes front-end development a breeze, while providing the robust and customizable managed backend that every company needs.

This webinar will demonstrate how to create a consumer mobile app that connects to a Bluetooth-enabled heart-rate monitoring device using Appmethod and Kinvey's BaaS. A healthcare provider use case will also be profiled, providing insights into an app that lets the doctor or physical trainer receive push notifications whenever the BPM of a specific user is over a certain number; shows customer name, recorded heart rate and time stamp; and, saves the notification record in a list in the cloud.
